Debut 2010: Graduate Show

Having just graduated in Commercial Photography from AUCB i've been incredibly busy assisting and interviewing these past couple of weeks, taking my first big steps out into London's photography industry. Alongside this my fellow graduates and I have been putting together our final graduate show, Debut 2010, at the Proud Central Gallery near Charing Cross with our private view happening last tuesday.

Above is a little behind the scenes video of the private view as well as another video detailing the fundraising print auction that made it all possible. If your in London this weekend get down to Proud and have a look as its all gone on Monday.

Assisting: Isuzu Rodeo with Carl Lyttle

Having recently graduated from the Art University College at Bournemouth (got a first woo!) I've been stepping up my assisting and have been lucky enough to work with automotive advertising photographer Carl Lyttle over the past month.

The video above is from a recent shoot involving a rare sunny week in Wales and Gloucestershire for the newly revamped Isuzu Rodeo truck . It was a great job and I thoroughly enjoyed getting out on location again. For more shots from the campaign head over to Carl's Blog.

Published Work: Criminal Clothing Microsite

Earlier this year I was lucky enough to work with the UK retail giant House of Fraser's Criminal Clothing Brand, Myself and a select group of fellow students from the Arts University College Bournemouth were asked to create a micro campaign for the 2010 summer season.

I visualised an energetic campaign inspired by the UK summer music festival season and the urban influences of free running. I was pleased to discover that my campaign was chosen as the winner of the brief and is now plastered all over the House of Fraser's website!

You can see the campaign online at House of Fraser and on my portfolio site.

Inspiration: Volcanoes and blog tweaks

I've been tweaking the layout of the blog today in order to increase the content area for my posts, which was a little tight width wise and not very friendly to video posts.

As an example here is an incredible stop motion animation from Sean Stiegemeier of the recent Eyjafjallajökull Volcano eruption in iceland. This literally took my breath away. Makes me want to shoot some video...

Portfolio Update: New Project Online

Having kept this on the back burner for a while i've now updated my Portfolio site to include a recent documentary project shot in the UAE this easter. The project explores the lives of the unskilled migrant workforce in Dubai's construction industry. After an extended stay in Dubai I was fascinated with the ever present construction workers and the issues that surround their presence. For more info on the series and to take a look at the images check out my updated Projects section HERE.
