Bad Taste Magazine

I have been lucky enough to have five images published across two fashion articles in the summer issue (5) of York University Student Magazine Bad Taste.

Bad Taste magazine was founded in 2006 and focuses on Arts, Fashion, Music and Lifestyle, aiming to promote student ventures at the University of York and exploring relevant activities further afield.

I shot in collaboration with Matthew Grum, Bad Tastes head photographer across the two fashion shoots, shot back-to-back in late March, in Rowntree Park, York, and on the University of York’s campus respectively.

Many thanks to fashion editors Lauren Clancy & Alice Alberry, all the models, friends and assistants involved. Conditions where wet, cold and windy and without everyone’s patience, and endless good cheer (as well as a similarly endless supply of tea and biscuits) the shoots could have become nightmare assignments.

Issue 5 (summer) will be launched on 21/05/08 and available across the University of York Campus

Welcome!

I'm British photographer Toby Roberts; I've decided to start this blog to coincide with the development of my new photography website (currently under construction).

Over the coming months I hope to update this blog with a wide variety of photography related content, including photoshop actions, lighting setups and tutorials, as well useful links to many of the more interesting photographic resources I've discovered while idly browsing the Internet.

Starting as I mean to go on here are a few of my current favourites:

Strobist - A phenomenal photography blog specialising in off-camera lighting techniques.

Joe McNally - A world renowned and genuinely innovative photographer shares his experiences.

That's all for now, watch this space for more links and posts soon,

Toby Roberts.
