Lightroom Presets: Cinematic Toning Now Available!

As promised here is a group of five cinematic toning presets for Adobe Lightroom, These presets are designed to create a colour toning similar to that found in feature films and will hopefully help you create some really dramatic moody looking imagery. The pack is designed to process Canon (.CR2) Raw files specifically as the pack includes specific adjustments to the camera raw color calibration profile that has been tweaked for use with Canon files. I imagine this will work will work with Nikon Raw (.NEF) files also although I cant comment on the results, Let me know if they work out.

The pack includes five looks (original above):

Tobacco: Strong brown tone, works best with image 1/3rd stop under exposed. Strong orange cast.

Tobacco Medium: A happy medium tobacco tone.

Tobacco Lite: Lighter tone ideal for brighter outdoor scenes.

Cyan: Split tones to give a slightly Sci-fi cyan shadow. Works great on skies and metallic interiors.

Twilight: Ideal for making moody deep blue twilight shots. Good for shady portraits.

The Cinematic Tone Pack can be downloaded as a zip file HERE or follow the link in the right hand side bar under the Lightroom presets heading. To install simply unzip and place files into the Lightroom develop presets folder which can be found by navigating to the preferences panel in Lightroom click the presets tab and clicking 'Show Lightroom Presets Folder...'

Hope you enjoy, let me know what you think in the comments,

Oh and on a related note if you want to try these presets out but don't yet own Adobe Lightroom now is a very good time to get involved as Lightroom 3 beta has just been released for free unlimited download, check it out at Adobe Labs HERE.
