Heres the second instalment in my now much delayed big shiny new project. Check out the video below to get the gist of what we've been busy doing.
Special reflective dots are used to provide spatial reference points for the scan.
A 3D laser scanner is then used to create a point cloud of information mapping the surface of Amy MKII.
This is then interpretted by the computer into a 3D mesh of Amy MKII ready to be sent off to Adam Elkins for some touching up in Z Brush,

You have an amazing project! Now I know that fine results of 3d laser scanning services are really better. My cousin is an artist and he also use 3d laser scanning technology for his designs.
