Dirty Brickwork Lightroom Preset

When I began this blog last month I promised a wealth of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom downloadable content relating to my photography. Well at long last I’ve decided to start sharing a few editing techniques: 'Dirty Brickwork' is a Lightroom preset for developing photos in Adobe Lightroom, partly inspired by the work of Joey Lawrence, it will give a very dark very dramatic look to brickwork and masonry without pushing skin tones too far. 

Installation:

Download the preset HERE.

To install this present Load up Adobe Lightroom, Click Edit>Preferences

In the 'Presets' Tab click on the 'show Lightroom presets folder' button.

This will load up your file manager, navigate to the 'Lightroom' folder (this should already be highlighted).

Double click on the Lightroom folder and navigate to the ‘develop presets’ folder inside. Open this folder save or paste the Lightroom preset file (.irtemplate) into a folder of your choice within this directory ('user presets' being the most obvious choice although you may wish to create your own custom folders if you're trying to keep things organised).

Once the preset file is pasted into this directory restart Lightroom and navigate to the 'develop' window in the left hand tool bar. In the 'presets' section you will now be able to see and apply the preset.

Below is an example of the effect that can be acheived with the Dirty Brickwork Preset.
